I read that GSP's love to eat crawfish. Lets say I go down to the river and catch some really small ones for my GSP's to eat.
will that be bad for them? Cause I would love to do that for them if it will not hurt them.

I guess it depends on how polluted your river is. Pesticides, etc, inevitably end up in the nearest river.
Personally I would be weary of feeding my GSP any wild caught food. Actually, I'm reluctant to feed him anything that isn't either frozen first, or bred and raised myself. Even fish store live food can contain parasites etc.

All my feeder crays are the offspring (oldest being of 3 generations) of local stream crays. If you can catch them and get them to breed and make sure you keep up with water changes to help flush out pesticides and fertilizers you are good to go to breed them.
