Hi again. As you mentioned before, my puffers seems to be too fat. I've recently bought a new tank for them, this is Juwel Lido 200 because only it could fit my flat. I'm very slowly moving them to marine conditions. Now the salinity is 10ppm. All of puffers seems to be very happy active etc. And every day they begging for food near the front glass. Just to avoid them being unhappy, I'm feeding them 1 dried schrimp from Sera FD Krill per puffer once a day and playing with them after that. But they're still fat!!!
I don't have the wave maker pump still because I want only buy the two when my tank become marine and now it would be too much current. But I have the internal Juwel filter with 1000l/h powerhead and I added the Aquael 2000 l/h powerhead there too. The current seems to be pretty strong and it flows over all tank possible without any dead spots. But...no luck here, all fat like nothing happened. Especially the Fatty. Here is the pics. Feed every other day/ feed less. My powerheads are rated for twice my tank size. My corals dont like it but my gsp spends his day throwing himself against the current so they are staying.

The most of diet is unavailable here at all. So I feed them mussels, krill and snails. They seems don't like prawns.

You'll NEVER find examples of that here! These fish are actually found in very hard FW in the wild & never go into SW. It is easiest to replicate that by keeping them in LOW-END BW. If you want a long-lived F8 (20+ years), you will house it properly!

I usually give a ramshorn snail to them. Their teeth seems to be trimmed properly. Mylania snail is too hard for them still.

Here - maybe, But I have no choise. Our pet market is the worst for puffers and other rare fish. So I really doubt that there is even 1% chance someone to take this puffer in proper hands. Even I can't have the separated tank for him. So the choise is "give to someone or going marine". Now he seems to be ok, and I probably will continue to raise salinity. I even does not follow the proper salinity rising method from this forum. I'm doing it a lot slower. For example, freshwater to 10ppm took 2.5 month. Hope it will be ok then.

Possible. But right now the GSP's twice larger tnan a F8. When I've bought him, Satou-kun was 3 times larger than f8. But still not even one try to kill. Maybe I'm just lucky.
