Read this before posting!!
Since this board has been up, we have found there are several questions that routinely get asked in order to help diagnose problems. If you can have that information to begin with in your post, we'll be able to help right away (if we can!) without having to wait for you to post the info we need.
1) Your water parameters - pH, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrates and salinity (if appropriate). This is by far the most important information you can provide! Do not answer this with "Fine" "Perfect" "ok", that tells us nothing. We need hard numbers.
2) Tank size and a list of ALL inhabitants. Include algae eaters, plecos, everything. We need to know what you have and how big the tank is.
3) Feeding, water change schedule and a list of all products you are using or have added to the tank (examples: Cycle, Amquel, salt, etc)
4) What changes you've made in the tank in the last week or so. Sometimes its the little things that make all the difference.
5) How long the aquarium has been set up, and how did you cycle it? If you don't know what cycling is read this: Fishless Cycling Article and familiarize yourself with all the information. Yes. All of it.
We want to help, and providing this information will go a LONG way to getting a diagnosis and hopeful cure that much faster.
While you wait for assistance:
One of the easiest and best ways to help your fish feel better is clean water! If you are already on a regular water change schedule (50% weekly is recommended) a good step to making your fish more comfortable while waiting for diagnosis/suggestions is to do a large water change immediately. Feel free to repeat daily or as often as you can, clean water is always a good thing! Use of Amquel or Prime as a dechlor may help with any ammonia or nitrite issues, and is highly recommended.
Note - if you do not normally do large water changes, doing a sudden, large water change could shock your fish by suddenly changing their established water chemistry. Clean water is still your first goal, so in this case, do several smaller (10%) water changes over the next day or two before starting any large ones.

Help.. ( I Think?)
So my red eyed puffer i got from Jacks pets in my hometown, started to show cloudy eye so i went back, they recommended some meds to give him, Before i put those in his tank i took 50 % of water from my tank (i know is healthy and has been running for about a year) in his tank, I waited a day and the goo/clomp on his eye started to come off of the sides around his eye but in the middle of his eye is still intacked with it ( looks like his eye was popping out). my dad thinks it might be pop eye but i'm pretty sure its cloudy eye. Any suggestions on what to do and what it might be? Should i keep doing the meds? They told me to use Acriflavine-MS (turned my tank green, good or bad?) and metro-MS. I wasn't sure about putting them in there but i cant stand to see him all sad like. Hes also not eating, my dad looked to see if his teeth were to long to eat, but when he looked it looked like i regular fishes mouth with no teeth. Maybe they haven't grown very big yet? What age do red eye puffers start growing teeth? I just ordered snails online they will be here in few days hopefully he will eat then. Hes not touching the feeder guppies He usually gets all happy and eats them within the first night. Hes about 1 1/2 in. Hes been sitting in the bottom of the tank like always and stills moves around when i go up to the tank. I also have 3 live plants in there and more on the way. Melafix should safely fix either problem. Be careful adding suggested antibiotics to your tank, it can easily crash the entire system. Keep a close eye on your parameters. Melafix will not do this.

this post should be in the hospital section with all of the info in the "red box" provided
also, feeder guppies (feeder fish in general) are not a good food for this fish

I am having the same problem with my Turgidus as far as not touching food. I have been force feeding him earrhworms for a week now.

I got his snails (pond snails) in the mail last night put some in there and i think he ate some.. How long have you had him? Turgidus's are nocturnal and are hunters so maybe if you put some live food in there overnight he will eat. Its worth a shot. My puffer is a Turgidus also, Hes very picky and i have found if i keep live food in his tank like, snails he will eat when hes hungry.
