copepods???

I have got the 55g tank in my room and this is home to mufassa hes a 2-3" DFP i just love him. the tank also has Scar another dfp about 2" and a lawn mower blenny for the diatoms I cant shake. ( yes I will be upgrading to 120+ tank during the year as they grow) Well looking at the tank the other day it looked like water lice. I did some looking around and what i found were copepods. Are they good or bad for my fish? do I need to get rid of them? If so how do I do that there so tiny! I see some on my fish they shake them off. (I'm sure its not ICH.)
Ideas?

'pods aren't bad for your tank or your puffs. Enjoy the bio-diversity!

'pods can be a bit creepy the first time you notice them... but they are a very good thing IMHO. They are also a sign your tank is healthy.

(If you want to be really amazed, cover a flashlight with red cellophane and check your tank out at night.)

Pods are a good sign and very interesting to watch. In fact, I enjoy standing in front of my tanks and sump watching them with a magnifying glass almost as much as I enjoy watching the main corals, fish and critters. A saltwater tank without pods would be something to be concerned about!

You mentioned the pods being on your fish though. Those may not be friendly. Can you describe the ones that are on your fish or maybe get a picture? Are they flat, white, oval and look like they have dark eyes?

The pods I have in the tank are white,kinda clear,they have little feeler thingys. I dont see eyes, there more long then oval. Getting a pict was impossible! I tried. there so small. I took sevral picts of Mufassa and Scar to see if maybe you can enlarge them enough to see.
