Yup, Piggy can change colour in a matter of seconds, depending on what he's up to. That is one beautiful puffer btw :D

No need to pause at 1.010, just keep going at 0.002 per week until you hit your desired sg. Puffers can handle being drip acclimated from f/w to marine conditions in a matter of hours so don't worry, it's the tanks bacteria that can't handle fast swings in sg
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

How would one lean or wean off puffers on certain foods? I bought some Krail (frozen) and they don't seem to care much for it. They are eating blood worms , shrimp(raw with shells) and snails.

I've tried feeding them krill only twice and both times they spit the food back out after a bite. However they love blood worms shrimp and snails!

Good staple foods there. Perhaps try mysis, mussel and cockle just to mix it up

Try adding freeze-dried plankton & mysis shrimp to the mix. I bet they'd love to tear into a mussel, clam or oyster, occasionally.

You just crack them open & let them go at it. Mussels are pretty small anyway.
