Good algae or cyano?

Since I am fairly new to the hobby I still have a lot to learn. I am just wanting everyone's opinion on this. Does this look like OK algae or cyano? Thanks in advance for the input!

It's not harmful, just ugly! Remove it manually. I believe it's called brown diatoms??

Some of my tanks get it, some don't. My tanks with the least light get it quicker.

Rtr should know its exact name.. I think it's called diatoms though.

Thanks a lot for the input! If its not harmful i will just continue removing it from the front pane of glass, for display purposes. I will leave it on the sides and LR as it seems that my CUC is fond of it.

(CUC consists of 3 hermits, an emerald crab, 2 peppermint shrimp, margarita snail, and a chocolate chip starfish.)

I imagine that the fact that i am using tap water rather than RO fuels the growth of it substantially, eventually i plan to switch to RO only, but my funds are rather low atm.
