Puffing Mbu!

Post by amosmbu »

Hi have had this Mbu for about a year he is very happy and healthy by all accounts but of late he has "puffed" quite often at least every other day, The last one I had never "puffed" up in the 2 years I had him before his premature demise. I am trying to get a photo but as soon as he See's me he let's him self back down. Has any one else had this with a Mbu? As all the other puffers I have had and have it's a rare occasion.

Are there other sources or signs of stress?

Sometimes puffs do practice for whatever reason.

How big is the puffer & tank? Water parameters & water change schedule?

Now this may sound stupid but it's almost like he's seeking attention! As it only happens when I'm near the tank but not paying him any attention.

no he said nil for amm, nil for nitrites and20 for nitrAtes. It took me reading it a few times to get it right as well.

Maybe he's just looking for food/attention... didn't someone's Fahaka do that?

I say practice. Mine does it occasionally but only in the morning.
Once again, the four toothed fish has got me addicted.
