New to F8s and to Brackish Environments
Hey All,
I read about Puffers in the May 2006 TFH, and when one came up for auction at last night's fish-club meeting, I snagged a cute little juvie F8 for two bucks.
Yikes! NOW what do I do???? Arrggghhh, spending this morning doing research on the Internet (instead of working). Wondering if I really, really need a brackish set up?
Thankfully, I found the Puffer Forum (ain't the Internet great?). Spending more time reading through the postings and downloading and printing the articles.
Thanks! Hope to be around for a while.

Hi Everyone!
Thanks for your kind welcome. I'm diligently reading the archives and various articles. This forum is a great source of information.
I'm also glad to see some DC-area folks on here. For information on PVAS monthly meetings, check out http://www.pvas.com/calendar/monthly.htm
Also, you may want to consider signing up for the All-Aquarium Catfish Convention 2006
It's not only about catfish. There will be a huge all-fish auction, and in addition to an All-Freshwater-Species Fish Show. It might be a good opportunity to introduce a lot of folks to the world of pufferfish.

GWAPA is a good group, and essential to anyone in the area who is really interested in nice, planted tanks. I plan to join them sometime in the near future.RTR wrote:I have been in PVAS on and off over the years, but have never been active. The only local group in which I have any activity is GWAPA.
How come you've never been active with PVAS? Anything to do with the group itself?
