Tank Size Question
Tank Size Question
I have a hold on a very healthy juvenile F8 at my LFS being raised in FW right now. I noticed that it is buddied up with another F8 almost to the point of being inseparable! They follow each other around and are always near each other. My question or dilemma is that my tank is only 20 gals., do you experts think that this is too small of a home for two F8's?

They will unlikely have enough room for seperated territories, you are best sticking to just 1 as aggression kicks in with age. Singleton puffers tend to be more personable
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

I'd keep a singleton in a 20g--move up to a 29 or 30g for 2. Lots of broken lines of sight.

IME, a 33XL or 30-Long or 40-Long would be better, and definitely w/highly broken sight lines and multi cave/refuge/rest ares out of sight of the tankmate. Two adjacent 20-longs would be dandy, also - sight but no contact.
