My SAPs never had issues w/snails, but as Berie pointed out, they do have to learn that they are food. I do not trust any pellet as food for SAPs. I only used live snails or frozen/thawed crunch seafoods.Tblet or pellet foods seem to get blown out through their gills as waste and pollute the tank for me.

These are hyperactive fish IME. I gave them significantly larger tanks than other smallish fish and absolutely no dead spots anywhere to get healthy happy fish. They are not tight schoolers and for me tend to hunt on their own, but do need the sight of con-specifics to be secure.
