Hello, I've had my figure8 puffer for 3months now, seems healthy and happy alone in his 26 gallons tank... I've been feeding him snails once a week, but now I'm overcrowding with snails... They're in a 5gallons tank next to the puffer's alot of them are getting bigger than is head...
Can I feed him snails for a few days straight to lower the population??? Is it going to wear his teeth too much??? His it going to corrupt him to not wanting other foods when time comes to slow down the snails buffet??? Any other things could go wrong doind this that I should be aware of???

Yep--snails are a great diet for puffs.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Yes yes yes, if the snails are well fed on veggies let him eat. Just no fat puffers, replacing other food with good nutritious snails is good puffer keeping.
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

Snails are almost all I feed my F8s. If the snails are to big just crush them and let the puff chew the fleash and meat.
There are many knowledgeable fish keepers on this forum willing to help and give great advice...The advice is free; What you choose to do with it gives it value.

Re: Feeding snail more often a bad thing???
Smallish puffers in my care get hone-cultured snails as their primary food. SAPs get almost entirely snail diets. F-8s (which I have more of than almost all the other puffers combined) run with majority-snail diets. They actually do as well for me with SAP-level snail diets (=/>95% snails). Ditto very small or young specimens of larger puffers.
