17.4 Mr aqua tank and puffers?
I have a 17.4 Mr Aqua tank I want to have puffers in. Would the dwarf puffers be my only choice? Or could I have just one of any other species? Willing to do a SW tank if needed. Thanks

Is that 17.4g? If yes, I think you'd be happiest keeping 3 DPs (1m/2F or 3F) in there but a single F8 would work, too.

I was just checking out the f8. My tank isn't ready yet... Probably a couple months out. And yes it is a 17.4 gallon tank. Thanks for the info.Pufferpunk wrote:Is that 17.4g? If yes, I think you'd be happiest keeping 3 DPs (1m/2F or 3F) in there but a single F8 would work, too.

Looks like you've had quite a few puffers, so I'd really be interested in why you think I'd be happier with the dwarf puffs as opposed to the f8?Pufferpunk wrote:Is that 17.4g? If yes, I think you'd be happiest keeping 3 DPs (1m/2F or 3F) in there but a single F8 would work, too.

Thanks for the link!! I saw the cutest two peruvian puffers in my lfs. They are about 2 inches now and when I asked one of the personnel how big they get, he said... I believe they are almost full size now. Lol. The other employee looked them up quickly on the computer and over rode him saying the Peruvians get up to 6 inches. I've figured out that you'd better do some of your own research.Pufferpunk wrote:library/category/puffers-in-focus/
