Last week i went to the pet store and i bought (the dealer said) 2 8fig puffers. But when i did my research i found out that i am now stuck with 2 GSPs. So my problem is now i need 2 get a new setup for these fish as they require alot saltier water. So my question is what is your setup for grownup GSPs, do i need a full marine setup or can i do with some freshwater equipment? The fish is really cute and i really want to do the best i can for them.

Did you put therm in a tank with other fish or set up a new tank?
Start the in FW & slowly move them to BW & eventually marine. Let the tank establish itself 1st though.

+1 to pp. was the tank cycled prior to adding the puffers? A 75g is the minimum sized tank to aim for, they need tons of space.

The tank is a 66g full cycled tank with about 10g homemade filter. Its fw with some salt added about 1,003 for now. Im in the progress of getting a new tank but cant figure out if i have to buy a full marine setup to start with(read the post with young puffers introducing to a full marine), or i have to start of with bw, the pros of buying marine now is that i probably dont have to change filter method, as an full marine need skimmer and live stone.

Tank is filly cyckled( running about 2years) 66g, with 10g filter. But do you think i should get a full marine setup with skimmer and livestone, its the easyist way because then i dont have to change filter method as im going, a skimmer wont work below 1.018 i think.

Another +1 to both the above. Monitor the ammonia, nitrite, & nitrate when changing salt (marine mix) content.

I agree totally that full marine is the way to go. GSP's seem more active, healthier, and more brightly colored in those conditions.
WARNING: Puffers are mischievous little blimps with enchanting powers. You may not be content with having just one.

Yes they do! I have a GSP in full marine and I've never seen one look so bright and happy.
