Porcupine puffer growth rates
Porcupine puffer growth rates
Just curious what the normal growth rate is for these puffers? I've had mine for a year and when I got him he was about 3 inches. He is now 6-7 inches and has doubled in size. I feed him 1-2 times daily and he is in a 180g. I bought him as a yellow puffer from DD and now he is more tan/red in color. Thanks in advance.

Sounds similar in growth rate to ours. but consider length can be not the most important point in growth rate.
pufferghoti's and mine has doubled in length but quadruplted in volume at least due to his body shape.
You should be looking at a 125g + tank for future porky home.

He's in a 180g right now with a fairly open aquascape, but that's not to say he may go in something bigger in the future.
