mostly vals in there, a hygo, a couple swords, some java fern, crypts, and a few that I'm not sure of. but I run medium light and co2. He has shredded some, and uprooted others but mostly leaves them alone, it is his home afterall and if he doesn't want it there he has the right to remove it IMO.

Common Crinums worked best for me. They establish best for me if planted in the tank while the Fahaka is still in the QT tank, as it takes them several weeks to establish Once well rooted they will produce offsets routinely, but the Fahaka will remove any it does not want. Obviously they are only for large tanks.

Java fern & anubias seem to be working well in mine.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

I keep Vallisneria, Crypts, Javafern, Anubias, Red and Green Lotus, Swordplants and different types of floating plants with my Fahaka. He dosent touch them, no biting or uprooting. The tank is actually my old aquascaping tank and is heavily planted.

You are a lucky soul, my fahaka destroyed everything his end of the tank and pruned the rest, he was an extreme gardener though
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

My Fahakas lived with Crinums and a few Anubias. They "selected" the clumps which were allowed to survive by biting off the ones that they did not want.
