I placed my GSP!!
I feel like now, I have no reason be on this forum
I found a great home for my puffer, Griff. Boy, did I have to weed through horrible fish people, who have no clue! This person who took him always wanted a GSP. He has a 180 gallon reef tank. He understands the risks, but since my GSP has left my corals alone, I think it will work out. If not his brother has a 50 gallon FOWLER tank. I'm so thrilled my little guy will be in a gorgeous 180 gal! Tank mates are none that will hurt him. Tangs, clowns. I'm really excited to now look forward to a true reef tank, and get creatures I couldn't have with the puffer. I've really enjoyed this forum.
Thanks all.

I'm glad you waited for the perfect owner! So are you going to go full reef now or tear the whole thing down?

Sounds like you found a great owner!
You could always stick around for offering advice and such.
You know you'll have another puffer one day anyway

No, I'm not tearing anything downPufferpunk wrote:I'm glad you waited for the perfect owner! So are you going to go full reef now or tear the whole thing down?
I want to get a cleaner shrimp next. I really like some of the cool creatures that live around LR, but just don't want to chance it with a puffer. I'd like a Valentini but I'd have to do some research, I'm sure they also aren't reef safe.

Plus 1 to this. This forum is good for more than just puffers. If I had a question about anything other than a puffer, I would ask it here before anywhere else. This forum by far has more fish tank keeping expertise than many other forums combined.*GSP*Fan* wrote:Sounds like you found a great owner!

Also, several people here love marine tanks and corals..so you will still fit in.
And don't forget about your fish keeping knowledge that you can share with others!

*GSP*Fan* has a huge thread in the Marine Tanks forum here about her new coral adventure. Please continue posting in that forum. I also posted pics of several of the corals I sell & will be offering to ship out in the spring.

+1 to this as well.Pufferpunk wrote:*GSP*Fan* has a huge thread in the Marine Tanks forum here about her new coral adventure. Please continue posting in that forum. I also posted pics of several of the corals I sell & will be offering to ship out in the spring.
The thread definitely has focused on corals mostly here lately as thats where I'm at with the tank progression basically. I know you've commented some but certainly can continue to if you stick around
Also, I haven't seen a thread of yours for your corals that you're updating, sounds as though you've gotten more and plan to. I'd be interested in that as I'm sure others would be as well.
Plus, both of us are certainly new to 'reef' tanks and I beileve could benefit from each others experiences we'd discuss in those threads.

Re: I placed my GSP!!
Thanks all. I do enjoy the forum. I did get a text from the guy who adopted my GSP. He's settling in fine. I posted a pic of him next to "Dory" in another thread. The picture was taken in his new home. BTW, I just purchased a dory tang yesterday. Great looking fish and appears very healthy. My cleaner shrimp spent a few minutes on him when he was put in the tank. The fish seemed to like it.
