Finally got my puffer!

Post by *GSP*Fan* »

I picked up my puffer from one of my LFSs yesterday evening and drip acclimated him/her for about an hour. He/she was pretty shy yesterday and stayed behind the rocks for the most part. When it was time to sleep he/she actually came out from behind the rocks and I was able to get a few good shots. He's/she's been out more today but I wasn't able to catch a picture before I had to leave for an extra shift I picked up.

Anyway, heres my puffer :D

Little hard to see here but photo taken when he was hiding behind rocks...middle of photo

Again (daylights on long enough to get a picture)

I'm just still so excited to have finally gotten my puffer.

It certainly hasn't been long but so far so good. The other fish (blenny, ocellaris clown pair, wrasse) haven't paid him any attention and he's ignored them as well. Though he's also still being shy so hopefully things continue to go well.

So pretty! Let's hope he doesn't have a taste for corals.

Very pretty puffer! Enjoy! I'm sure he'll be fine in your tank. I'm still impressed that my GPS is getting along with his tankmates and all the corals I have. This weekend getting a toadstool coral. :D

Thanks!
I definitely hope he doesn't. I'll set up a smaller tank for the corals if thats the case but I'd hate to have to do that

Thanks and I will! I'm not too worried about the other fish, I believe they'll be able to hold their own if they need to but I do worry about the corals. So far so good but he/she hasn't exactly warmed up to his/her new home yet so who know. Glad to hear your GSP is still behaving! I like the toadstools too, been thinking about adding one.

Thank you! Um I'm not the best at guessing measurement but I'd say at least 2 1/2 inches, maybe 3, not including tail. He/she was listed as medium sized but I asked if they could request to get the smallest of their mediums. Little bigger than I expected him/her to be.

What a Gorgeous Puffer! He looks so cute sleeping on the rocks. Can't imagine it could be comfortable, but my Valentini seems to like the big rock as well.
Congratulations and Enjoy!!

Thank you!, I definitely will!

It certainly doesn't look comfortable, thats for sure, and last night he/she was sleeping straight up and down against the rocks

Love the blue spots. BTW try not to use the flash as puffers have sensitive eyes and it freaks them out.
