They are $2.69 each. I don't know what shipping is, but I thought this was a great price.

Re: Dwarf puffers on sale online
I totally lucked out when I bought my new DP in November. $1.99 at my LFS! And I've been back there a few times since, and it's not a sale price. They're $1.99 all the time. Sure beats the $5.99 each I paid at another store last time, when I was buying 4. Ouch.
Yo ho, yo ho, a puffer's life for me.

I have a bad experience with that site. I ordered a half dead congo from there once, it died in three days. They are nice about refunds but you wont get shipping cost back. They hace "marine biolpgists" on site you can call and ask about their feedings and conditions before you buy...best of luck

Shipping is $35 though o.o. On ebay they're 6.99 ea under the name of indian puffer, though shipping is still $15.00. Still, a lot cheaper.

Re: Dwarf puffers on sale online
Lol! Red eyes are not as common.. Pop up once in a while. Cost - $3.
Gsp, ceylons and f8s are very common as well. They cost on the average of $1.50-$2 at Ard 2-3in size.. Unfortunately they are not as valued as other fish here.. Very often, they will just end up stuck in the store mistreated..
Other species can be pretty costly..

Re: Dwarf puffers on sale online
I've seen Ceylons a few times, labeled as "Jumbo Figure 8s." And I once saw a full-grown one that must have been traded in by its owner. Huge and lovely.
My LFS has arrowheads right now, and sometimes gets palembangs. But they haven't had any red eyes since before I got into puffers, and didn't appreciate them or snap them right up like I should have.

I really want to come to your house on vacation, but I don't know if I can smuggle Ceylons and red eyes under my shirt for the plane ride home.scpion wrote:Lol! Red eyes are not as common.. Pop up once in a while. Cost - $3.![]()

Re: Dwarf puffers on sale online
Chicago is a major hub for US based airlines ...LFS will find it easier to import exotic fish though such a place.Pufferpunk wrote:I've seen several. Look hard, in F8 tanks.
Now Montreal PET has a direct flights to Dubai, we can get a lot more fish this year than we could last year and the availibity though Toronto had been easier in the past. Now we can get Singapore though Dubai to Montreal flights giving us a much better chance at getting unusual fish without the need to travel to Toronto by car being 7-9 hours driving time.
When we were living close to Heathrow..we used Maidenhead Aquatics who had a depot in Iver which was proximal to end of the runway which meant they got the first pick of what came into the UK. we were lucky in the fact we had fish guys were looking out for us IRT puffers.
Personally if you are in a long chain distribution without a major entry port, I would concentraate on the local distribution point as the point of influence.
