Here are some pics and flicks of my puffer. My tank had been overran with bba and hair algae due to me not dosing ferts because i was dosing for his parasites. I also found out that the t5ho bulbs that came with my light are junky, cheap bulbs, i have ordered 2 rosette full spectrum flora bulbs and 2 6700k ati bulbs. I had to completely rennovate his tank. took out all the plants cause they were all covered from top to bottom with algae. Cleaned all the substrate, scrubbed all the decorations and replanted new plants. hopefully this wont happen to that extent again.
yessir, he has actually grown like a half inch,maybe a little more since i got him. i think being sick and not really eating for a couple weeks kinda slowed his growth in the beginning. after that he has been a giant vacuum!!!! he has eaten 5 of 6 amano shrimp that i got for algae control. a couple of ghost shrimp, a fiddler crab, and countless plant snails in the past 3 1/2 weeks he has been better.
he is learning when i tap on the glass and put my hand in his face that it is food time. He looks up and waits for me to make it rain with snails. lol
Thanks!! hahaha your right, be is like a sour patch kid. First he is sour(eats all myalgae killers), then he is sweet(comes to the glass and interacts). lol .
He is quite fond of my lady, he plays with her, follows her finger. he is also fond of our white boxer, everytime he comes in front of the tank, this little guy always follows him and is lookin at him harcore. lol
