My New Fahaka Tank
This is Murderfaces new tank I got from some guy on craiglist. I have an xp3 filter running the tank with some plants and still adding more slowly now on the back left. the tank is actually topped off but the back glass is shorter thank the restleaving the front look unfilled. The guy said its a DAS tank, not sure what that means but he used to run it as a reef tank. I still went off and bought some Reef Brite LED hight output 3w lights 50/50 actinic/natural day light which look AWESOME, picture does not give it its justice. Im about to go to Home Depot and get some black plastic lining to hide the top glass that has no water.
Any suggestion on decor? I have a box full of things i dont use and probably wont because I just cant make up my mind on what to use besides plants.

Nice tank!! Good find. What is the gallons? The tank slopes toward the back? I say he needs a firepit/ grill, some chairs and some hula girls. Lol what kind of decorations are you looking to add? More plants or ?

Re: My New Fahaka Tank
its 135g tank. Yea i think it was a good find, I payed 250$ for the tank, stand, xp3 filter ($200 new alone) and one Ehiem heater*. And no it doesnt slope at all, its just not as high for some odd reason so i cant fill it as high as the other 3 sides go. weird. I was looking for some med evil/Dark decor but its hard to find. i have one small skeleton in the front and a big 'ol dragon in the back but thats as far as I got. I love upkeeping plants as much as i love taking care of my fahaka so i just went along with that so far. They grow and mulitply which is free plants in return.

Lots more tall decor required to keep him from getting bored
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

Re: My New Fahaka Tank
Thanks! The cut out is where a over-flow box was located at. It used to be a marine tank and had one of those fitted there.boosted23 wrote:looks good!!! what is that cutout on the rear left for?
