Its been a good 1.5 years of being a puffer addict. I learned a lot about fish keeping, filtration and water quality as a puffer addict. Its time to breakdown my puffer tanks and change gears. My Fahaka and Turgidus will be put up for adoption with local fish keepers.
I have a really strong interest in reefing now, particularly coral keeping. I'll still hang around TPF though, but probably not as often unless there is something useful I can contribute. All my extra time and hobby money will be invested in my 46g reef, and I am already planning out my next 100+ gallon reef tank and small frag tank.

Oh c'mon, you can do both! I have my 125g fahaka tank, 20g miurus, 10g DPs, 90g mixed planted, 46g GF & a 50g & 90g reef.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

dont abandon your first love for she will always be the one that treated you best. ....buuut id like to see your reef. Im fascinated by corals and the reef life so much where one day I will do both. My fahaka will see it next to his tank and be like...."wtf alien s*t is that green thing...it looks yummy."

Re: Retiring Puffer Addict
Family do not agree with that many tanks unfortunately. I want more reef tanks, but family says there are too many tanks in the house.
Right now, my reef is almost about to begin. I'm waiting for my lights to ship to my front door after Christmas.

when you get to 20 plus tanks..that's when your family should be staging an intervention..Thankfully I'm married to a puffer-pusher..Terrance wrote:Family do not agree with that many tanks unfortunately. I want more reef tanks, but family says there are too many tanks in the house.
