Could these be shrimps of some sort??

Question. Curious. I was cleaning my filters, and found these small creatures in the filter media, that appeared to be a small shrimp. Having a FW tank of Red Cherry shrimp, they resembled those as shrimplets. I have since seen them in my live rock, when I had the lights out, and turned the lights on, I saw them darting in/out. Today, when I fed my corals, I saw a couple crawl out on them, apparently to grab/eat what I syringed to the corals.

Does anyone know what these are?? I assume they don't get any bigger?? Would love to know.

I bet you they're Pods, they look very tiny and whitish, and they hang out in the LR and substrate. You can get a Mandarin Goby if your tank has been established of adleast six months and have an extra 30 gallons to spare for a fish, but they will eat the pods.

Thanks. Are they considered bad for some reason, that you'd want them eaten? I can't get a goby because I have a GSP in the tank.

'Pods are generally considered highly beneficial to the tanl's micro-ecology. They also provide prey for puffers.
