Would a Valentini puffer be ok with a large Hermit Crab or would he pick at it?

That I abeutiful puffer I was just at an aquarium and saw one.... they told me it ate clams and hard shelled food... I doubt it would be fine but I'm curious too. Their teeth are ever growing and it he doesn't norally attack hermits he might get the itch to...lol

I think it'd try to attack it. I haven't seen any aggressive Valentini puffers though.

If by "large hermit" you mean something like Dardanus megistos, I would not recommend that. An adult D. megistos is able to kill a toby in its sleep.

I agree with RTR, stick with trying smaller species.

I love to take care hermit crab. I have different sizes and colors hermit crab in my collection.

I have many small hermits my val leaves alone. Depends on the puffer.

I have (and so far still have) a small female emerald crab with my valentini, I caught him circling and nipping the crab twice since it was introduced, but I only tried it bc my toby was never interested in live shrimp before.
It goes nuts for snails, frozen food and flakes, but nothing else.
so far so good, but im sure as always its on an individual case.
