MFK Fugu thread

Post by purplecandle »

http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forum ... NG-STRANGE

Thought I would post in case someone wanted to help the fugu. I don't feel like dealing with MFK and puffers today. The word puffer seems to be taboo over there. I like MFK, just wish they liked TPF.

I also think it is odd that the mods have not moved the thread to the puffer section..which is why I posted it here

Classic buy a fish and can't be arsed to research, so I will post on a site where they cram massive fish in small tanks and try to get my info.
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

Hey PP they are asking for you by name. Maybe you can help. Even though they may do things some here may not agree, their intentions are good. Cant be mad at them for differing perspectives no matter how alien it may be.

Pfft one person already dismissed PP as a source of advice saying to take it with a grain of salt and called the recommended tank size rule too extravagant. Glad im not registered there.

MFK is a world unto itself. Reality checks do mot work there.

Every time I see the MFK abbreviation the only thing that comes to mind is the following:

Lots of members on this forum do/did the exact same thing. Why not step up and offer some advice and try to help the person out? Just sayin'...

That appeared in that thread? I didn't see that statment.

Lots of very succesful fish keepers over there as well as many of the ill-informed/ poor decision makers.. Kind of like this forum.

Well, some of them might but I can guarantee you that anyone over there who has kept Mbu for any length of time, myself included, would've stepped in and offered more realistic advice.

Just calling it like it is.

At least the folks over here, eventually come to sensible fish-keeping practices. The folks over there, ignore what is the right thing to do. It's like talking to my dog.

"Right thing to do"? I could say the exact same thing about your "Mbu fact page", which is full of misinformation, but what good purpose does that serve? Do you truly believe that every person on another forum is doing everything absolutely wrong?
