I had to let my last breeding pair of ram cichlids go today :( . I need to keep tanks to a minimum until I move and I keep setting them up. It was a standard ram and electric blue, they produced amazing fry and I made plenty of money from them. I got a good price from a friend for them and half the fry from the next 2 batches. I know he will look after them but feel like I did the wrong thing as I was so attached to them. But hohum what can I do now. Needed the money for the mortgage fund. Sorry just needed to vent. On the plus side half my rasporas clan also went to a well kept community tank. I had far too many.
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

Bittersweet I guess eh? Hope they all do well in their new homes :)
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

The main thing is I can keep an eye on them. He know not to mess it up, it will take 2 batches of fry to break even. He is really gonna have to work for them.

Life happens, as they say. Gotta keep those bills paid, though. I'm going to have to put my Mustang up for sale so I can make some ends meet, catch up on some debts and move across the river. I hate to do it but I really don't have any other choice.

I know how you feel.

I had to sell/give away my fishes and tanks when we moved to Canada. It was soo sad having to leave behind fish who had been part of my life for upto 8 or so years not to mention trying to vet potential owners for my beloved puffers. I prefered to give them to people who'd look after them properly rather than make a quick buck..
A kiss on the hand may be quite continental
But puffers are a girl`s best friend.
