Valentini puffer teeth

Valentini puffer teeth
I picked up a 2.5in Valentini puffer about a week ago and he has been chilling in my 29. He is doing great except for the one white spot on his dorsal, so I am treating the tank with PraziPro just in case it is ich. The one thing that really has ke interested though is he isn't eating his clams. I have tried garlic too and that don't work. So I was watching him eat his brine shrimp, which I soaked in garlic water hoping he would get the taste so he starts eating clams, when I saw his teeth. They seemed kinda long, about 1.5mm on the top jaw and about 1mm on the bottom jaw, but it is hard to say. Are they to long for him to eat clams? What can I do to get them shorter? Thanks!

I believe their teeth are slow growers. Just for future reference ich is f/w, crypt is s/w.
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

Your valentini's teeth are fine. My toby's teeth have always been about that long.
