GSP is in bigger tank

Post by PufferMe! »

Well, the tank has cycled, and tonight I put my GSP in his new home. Lots of time acclimating him to higher salinity in a bucket, which did seem to stress him, by his dark color. In the tank, he's immediately brightened up, is exploring and seems fine. He still has not discovered the feather-dusters I have on the live rock, but sadly, he probably will soon. I hope he doesn't. I like them :D

Had a bummer happen with the lighting, so I'm looking for a cap for a T-12. The bulb apparently arched, when one of the prongs in the bulb bent. Burned the entire cap, and without one bulb, the entire fixture is out :( Not having much luck finding this part easily. Store I'll go to tomorrow, says they can order it. Will see when I bring them the part tomorrow. I hope it's replaceable, so I don't have to re-do the entire fixture and put money into it.

You are needing a new T12 bulb? Ace Lowes or Home Depot should have the bulb you need for 10-15 bucks.

Glad your GSP is doing ok. I doubt he will bother the feather dusters. Mine seem to avoid them.

So glad to hear he may leave them alone! As of early this morning, he hasn't touched them. I need more than a bulb, I need an end cap and have to hope I didn't fry the entire light system or ballast.

Thanks

Gwen
