moving filter from SG 1.012 to 1.018??

I have a whole colony of 50-60 visible specimens on fist sized piece of live rock. My GSP's seem to avoid them. There have been a couple renegade specimens that have broke off and planted themselves on other pieces of rock as well. I will try to post a picture here sometime.

Cool! Yes, I hope mine to make it with the GSP. I've given up trying to post pictures here Just not enough bandwidth I guess.

I'll work on getting pics up with that link of the new tank. Been a busy week, getting my GSP moved over to the new tank. and cleaning out my old tank, so my neighbor can have it. He seems pretty happy in his new digs, and has left the feather dusters alone (so far) so I'm really happy about that. He looks so small in such a big tank. Trying to resist the urge to get another one. Too fearful it won't work out.

I really wish I could try something else in the tank with him. Any ideas? I see SW snails, but figured he'd harrass them, even if they are big. I love the crabs, but can't see that working. I'm open to ideas! By the way - the salinity is at 1.020

In full marine conditions you can have ghost shrimp and brown legged hermit crabs. They usually thrive as an effective clean up crew and manage to elude puffers but they can still run the risk of being eventually eaten. On the plus side they are inexpensive. I have a dozen of each sharing the tank with my puffers. As for marine fish you could try damsels or as PP often suggests, a Tomato Clownfish or two.

I've only known ghost shrimp around here to be in FW. I've heard stories of them living in SW for a week or so. Would love to see a marine ghost shrimp. So. . . if I was to try a damsel, what is the chances it would work? I really don't want to see a fish be killed. My little guy is aggressive to snails, and quickly goes for food, but I don't see him as necessarily being aggressive otherwise, but I really don't have a clue about him and other fish. If I floated one in the tank, and he showed no aggression, could that be a good sign?

Ghost shrimp live in and are adaptable to many types of water. I catch them wild in rivers and all the way down to where rivers meet the sea, you should be fine to have some in there.

Thanks. I'll try some. I've had one in before, and my puffer can't catch them, so they should be fairly safe from being eaten.
