Hi can anyone tell why my gobys keep on bullying my gsp
I had to to buy another set up to put the gobys in as don't believe in getting rid of them
Every time I feed. the goby didn't let the puffers eat
As I said in other posts
I have 5 gsp all size from full grown to small in a 600l tank
And yes I do know what they say about puffer living together
But mine live eat and sleep together All fine and have done for some time
I thought gsp a are kings of brackish waters and will nip at anything
But not mine they are bullied by two gobys

Its hard to say down to the exact reason to why this may happen, its why people say to keep puffers in a species only tank because often aggression from either side seem to appear for no apparent reason. Knight Gobies are semi aggressive and you may have just gotten an extra aggressive one, or maybe gsps become more peaceful in large groups when kept in captivity (random thought)
I would probably just keep them separated if your experiencing problems as the extra aggression is putting un-nessary stress to both parties.

Both fish will eat the same foods: therefore conflict. Some F-8s get along with some BBG in larger tanks, but there the BBG scavenge the F-8's leftovers so no conflict. The chances are good that any given GSP and Knight will conflict over food, so NIMFT.

i keep them for along (when babies) but need to feed the gobbies firts, then the puffers.
I alse needed to divide the bottom area with many natural divisions, like rocks, driftwood, moss...
At the end i made 2 tanks, one for gobbies species and other for puffers.

Let there be light, and lit up the days... Let there be puffers, and they swam around the world...
