A 4x2x2' tank is a standard 120 US nominal gallon tank. But it does not hold that much in reality.

A 5x2x2' tank is nominal 150 gallons.

A 6x2x2' tank is nominal 180 gallons.

yes my tank is 4 x 2 x 2 feet, then have my sump which is 3 foot x 18in x 18 in roughly
How many saps u reckon i could keep as a group without overdoing it, keeping in mind im keeping my eel and black shark, unless they change behaviour and become aggressive etc...

I would say do not keep the black shark with these puffers, they are skittish as I have found out (I only have 1 and have 2 more on order). Shoot for 4 and keep an eye, keep the eel and see how you go. The bold shark will start to stress your puffer

i do see wher your coming from about the shark, but it doesnt seem to bother anything, if anything the puffers keep it in check haha. As they do with the tinfoils!!! they are feeding well and keep the other fish at bay til they finished!!! but as i said, the tinfoils and silver shark are going.
am only keeping my 2 pictus cats, my eel and black shark
but yeh, the shark will be gone if it starts to act as they are known to generally.
have the puffers feeding on some small snails, blood worm prawns cockles etc... earthworms and they seem to be coping fine

Ah ok thanks for that information. I must have had a tall 150gal tank as it was only 4' long. After researching it appears my tank was 48inX24inX32in which sounds much more correct as it was taller than it was wide.
