Sad day, I'm moving and I can't take my tank.

Post by Steelgeek »

Hey folks, been a while since I poked my head in around here, how's everyone doing?
As you saw from my title, not so good around my place though. We're moving in 2-4 weeks (and not because we want to. I'd rather not go into it) and I can't bring my tank with my GSP, think he's 8+ years now, solo in a 37 and I don't know what to do.
He was having some skin issues but was responding to treatment.
I thought about giving the whole thing away, but an old salt battered tank and rusty stand, and an old slightly unhealthy fish, it wouldn't be fair to burden someone with that. I don't think he or the tank would survive the stress of the move honestly.

I guess I do know what I need to do, I just wish I didn't have to do it.

Find a reputable SW shop & have them put it in one of their display tanks. he could be their store mascot!

Don't do what you think you need to do.
Rehome him
There is always a home for a puffer
Don't give up on him
Just take the time to find him a home

I was lucky enough to be able to trade in my old GSPs to a reputable LFS. Too bad to see you here under these circumstances. :(

Post it on craigslist or kijiji. Maybe someone has a big tank that they could home another GSP in. You never know.
