Feeding a Humback?

Post by joeyg2100 »

I got my Humpback puffer in last Friday, and I love this fish. My favorite so far in my fish collection. I feed him a miniature molly that I had in a quarantine tank for him for about a week. He ate the fish the first day I had him. Then two day's later I tried feeding him some shrimp. I put the shrimp on a sting and dangled it in the water. He ended up attacking it, and he took one bite out of it then let it go. I tried it again with the same shrimp, and he wanted nothing to do with it. I don't know if he just got board with it or if he didn't like it.
What else could I feed him? I am going to try the shrimp again the next time I feed him. Also I am feeding him every other day, is this OK to do? Thanks

Mine get pre-soaked krill and Silversides mostly, both fed by forceps. The fish was conditioned to dead food by the krill-on-a-thread technique. Prior to conditioning it was fed gut-loaded/QT'd ghost shrimp.
