Lava Rocks

Post by Terrance »

If I want to put a lot of lava rocks in my Fahaka tank, should I be concerned about the sharp edges of the rocks scratching and hurting my little friend?
Kind regards,
Terrance

I have always worried about the sharpness of those rocks. Love them tho and want some
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

I wouldn't risk it mate, the puffer could tear himself open

What if you were to grab a file and take those sharp edges and corners out?

I was at the LFS the other day. I picked up one big, round lava rock. It didn't feel nice at all because it as sharp all over. Does some of the live and base rocks feel the same way?
Kind regards,

I would not mix lava rock with any digger if I used it at all -which I used to do but rarely do anymore. Fahaka are/can be diggers, so no lava rock, NIMFT.
