Red Billed Puffer
Recently picked up a "Red Billed Puffer" from my LFS. They didn't know the specific species name. Looks like C. irrubesco, but I was just wondering if "red billed puffer" was just a generic name for C. irrubesco, loreti etc or if it specific to one. I can try and post a pic, but none are coming out clearly. Thanks.

Re: Red Billed Puffer
The common name for a C. irrubesco is Red Tailed Redeye Puffer. Just do your best to get a picture and we will do our best to ID it.

Yeah I was just having trouble finding much that referenced a red billed puffer haha.
Its a 20 gal, relatively dense "planting." Tank mates are two freshwater bumblebee gobies.
First time keeping a puffer other than some dwarves.

Re: Red Billed Puffer
Sounds awesome. You may have to remove the gobies, depending on your puffers temperment, and you're technically stocked with just the puffer.

Previously established tank with two DP's and the gobies, moved the DP's to their own tank.

Okay. You'll probably need to treat the puffer for internal parasites.
