Puffer together?
Puffer together?
Hallo everybody
Has anybody some experience with having Fahaka and Suvatti puffers in the same aquarium (260 gallon/ 1000 L)?

Re: Puffer together?
I think it'd be a bad idea as both puffers are known to be very aggressive

Re: Puffer together?
Will end in tears. A Fahaka's and congo's are two very aggressive species only puffers. Not only that but a fahaka will outsize the congo very quickly and probably try to eat him or kill him.

Get them separated now! Or all will die very soon, they will fight
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

Easily wind up with dead puffers all the way around.

Re: Puffer together?
Oh yeah most puffers species will not be able to live together in the same tank. Fahaka and an arrowhead's are two of the most aggressive species and adding them together in the same tank WILL end bad. Kinda like throwing a stick of dynamite in a bonfire..lol

I don't get how they wouldn't have attacked each other unless the arrowhead is smaller then the fakaha?

Dont think they attacked each other. I think what he was saying, is it possible to keep the two species together. But both Fahaka and an Arrowhead would indeed attack one another or one will end up attack the other one 1st. Either way, one would get badly hurt or dead.
