my dream Marine puffer. If I ever get back into Marine tanks again and had money to spare. I will buy me one somewhere here in the US. I have only seen one in its full adult yellow color in a Fishshop once. Just beautiful!!

Nope, that's a common myth.
The golden ones start as golden ones, and the standard color ones as standard color ones. And there are not few golden ones which have small standard color areas on their body, but these don't change with age, either. Xanthism (or xanthorism depending on the author) is a genetic condition similar to albinism. Maybe the word "phase" is not the best choice here, "color morph" or "variation" might be better.

LOL, looks like alot of people thought the same as I. Arothron meleagris is the golden puffer or the Guineafowl puffer that is stated that it goes through different color morph change through out life. This info I have read in a book that I owned for about 20 years. Dr. Burgess's Mini-Atlas is the book that refer's that the golden puffer goes through different color changes. Im guess it is out dated and they are always changin the names of different species every year. So you cant really rely on any book because of such up-dates that changes almost as soon as the book gets published..lol
From all the research I have done on Arothron meleagris, the golden and Guineafowl puffer are the same species that go through color changes. But I also understand seeing small fully colorful bright yellow Arothron meleagris'. So they are like dogface puffer with their color morph....

Don't be dissappointed. Burgess's atlas has so many species, this specific information may just arise from another erroneous source, I don't think the authors had the opportunity to doublecheck every little thing. Most of the book is still ok (but... if my memory serves right it was also stated there the species would only get 15 cm... but that may be an older edition or another book... I don't have it at hand right now).
As a side note, you'll still in general get better information from printed sources than from the internet, because in the books and even more scientific journal publications mostly pros write and in the internet it's basically everyone with an opinion. Therefore, things become quickly facts on the net if just enough people repeat what they read on another page. This can happen in written sources too, but is much less common (due to professional authors and because the medium itself is much slower). In addition, it can be hard to correct "facts" on the internet, because they spread so quickly very wide.

Since you do have your own published book on marine puffers. Yeah you are probley right.
I just learned alot from books over the years way before I was on the net. And yeah, things do change alot on the net. Great research on the net though. I always research alot before I start an arguement or ask questions with someone..lol Not that I would start anything with you, Corvus. Just sayin, if I need backup. But I believe you though. And glad that you cleared that up.

I also would never disagree with corvus. He is never wrong.
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

I wouldn't say that. Everybody makes mistakes. I'm sure we would find something on the forum.
For A. meleagris not undergoing color phases I am pretty sure, though
