Cloudy Water!

Hey so i have a 20 gallon tank with sand substrate and it has been cloudy for a week after adding the sand!! I washed the sand vary well but it has made vary little progress in clearing up.. I have a Aqua Clear HOB filter that clear 300 gph... What should i do to clear my tank up????????

try some filter floss or, if there are no fish yet, turn off the filter for 24 hours ans see what happens.
