Reggie's Home!!
I finally got my 29g tank to a point that I could get the little 2" porcupine puff that was at my lfs. Now, before you get onto me for the tank being too small, I am looking for a 125 his final home. He shouldn't be in the 29 any longer than a month.
Quick question, the lfs he was at was feeding him live feeder guppies and now the little turd wont eat anything that he does not get to chase down. How do I wean him off this? I did finally get him to eat by tying a string to the tail of a shrimp and moving it around in the tank, but as soon as he sees the string he stops.
Edit: I didn't mean the dirty word, it was a typo!

How did you cycle his tank? Keep a very close eye on the parameters in there (daily). Glad you were able to get him.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

I posted earlier on my tank cycling, I used mollies and a damsel. I test the params daily. all good now. How long would you say I havebefore I have to have him into a 125? I am looking for more of a number and not an ASAP (I already know that
)

I finally got him to eat, but he is bieng rather high maintainence. I have to peel and cut up his shrimp or he wont eat it. On a positive note, I did find a hermit crab I though was lunch. Hiding in its shell of all places.

went three days and he still was being hard headed. he is still a baby so I am hesitant to go much longer than that. I also just got him so you could see that his stomach is already caved in a little and after three days it was even worse. He does eat this now so I am going to work with him on other foods, but I need to get food in him asap.
