Bored behavior?

Post by newbie101 »

I'm starting to get a little concerned about my fig-8's behaviour.

I've got him in a 10gal with what i think is a pretty complex slate aquascape, but all he/she does is swim up and down one side of the glass.

I keep up with my water changes and keep him in lower end of brackish, did water test and everything seems to be in order.

He's eating pretty well, mostly freeze-dried krill with snails or live shrimp once a week.

Anybody else experience the same problem? Is he bored? any suggestions to how i can fix the tank to make it more interesting?

Here's a pic of my tank right now.

I like the layout of slate in your tank.

How long has he been in the tank and has he only recently been swimming up and down one side or done it since you had him?

Aside from a larger tank (which he needs IMO), try using lots of plastic and silk plants.
