In general, we don't recommend tankmates with fahakas, since they tend to be pretty vicious towards tankmates.
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

+1 some of us get away with it, but we don't expect it to last forever
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

So just to clarify how true that is. I recently thought i was lucky with my fahaka and rooming him with a few rainbow sharks. I knew the risks but i did it anyway.. lasted a few months and i was like :hyper: ..thouht i was one lucky s.o.b..but then he recently started getting this funny look in his eye, hiding under leaves stalking his friends and then i was like :scared: ....today i got home and started looking at my world again like their god...and then i was like  ...my albino rainbow sharks tail is gone.... so again dont think a fahaka can be :grouphug: with the rest of your world he is juust the  of your world. Please :tuttut: dont house your fahaka with tank mates, they really are your fahakas dinner... but you are free to live a risky life. ..

I have had more than one Fahaka over my years with tanks and I find as long as the tank mates are: 1. constant swimmers 2. you start them together when they are small, 3. Grow at the same rate as the Fahaka. and 4. the Fahaka is prpperly fed, you can house a few fish with your Fahaka. Yes I know many people will disagree with me but I am just telling of my experience.
Good luck.
