Fahaka puffed

Post by bertie 83 »

Got a pic of my fahaka half puffed. Was in absolute amazement so dodnt get my camera out til he was semi deflated, it's a poor quality pic but will upload it so you can all see. I will have access to my laptop in the morning will upload then. I will stress that this was not provoked, he inflated slowly and deflated slowly. I do not condone peops making puffers puff.
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

I have heard that porcupine puffers do this every once in a while. The guy said to test out their puffing system to make sure it works.

Most if not all puffers will test at some point. You have little chance of seeing it tho as they seem a bit shy

I've seen my fahaka practise inflating a few times, usually i have to do a double take as to what a small football is doin in the tank ! lol , but by the time i've finished staring in bewilderment i never manage to grab the camera in time ! .....funniest one i saw was one of my dwarfs floating around like a ping pong ball ! , he slowly deflated himself and swam off ! ..

I was lucky enough to see a porcupine puffer puff up at the LFS a few weeks ago, its so neat how they just gulp up water and then sort of throw it back up.

Exactly. Where is this picture young man? :tuttut:

It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.
