Re: snails
They can still eat bigger snails.
Re: snails
I have no idea. It would be best to get a picture of them so you know for sure what they are.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

Re: snails
I have been having problems getting good food snails for my puffers as the aquarium stores around here are all loaded with nothing but MT Snails which I read are bad for the puffers so I will have to go to the local rivers and ponds to get some snails when the weather warms up.
However, I did just get some of these off of eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0850536316

Re: snails
for any lack of snails in the area, you can always sub half shelled clams or mussel for the dentistry. i rarely fed snails but i fed half shelled clams every day and the occasional crab or cray
good deal sgtmyers! and they will make sure you get smaller ones if need be for feeding puffers, seems like a good connection to have for them if its constant
