would it cause damge if i housed a porcupine in a 55gal alone?

Yes 55 gal is way to small for both the porcupine or dog face. Shortened life span due to stunning is most likely. If going salt on this tank about the only puffers suited would be in the Toby group.

Make that "stunting and pollution and lack of exercise" and I'll agree w/trekenk.

Lets put it this way... I had a 210 all ready for a Fahaka.. normally more than adequate by volume, but decided not to because of the width. Not all tanks are created equal and the minimum sizes are just that, minimum. Minimum is not optimum.
