gsp vs f8?

Post by puffer_addict »

My gsp is a bit of fatty. he is a little on the round side compared to my f8. My f8 is long and slim and loses his belly normally an hour or so after eating. He is a lot more active and i swear he never sleeps. My gsp is active as well but just plumed. They both eat about the same amount of food. is it normal for gsp to be bigger?

probably since their full size is a lot bigger than f8s. i fed figgy about 2 hours ago and she still has what i call a happy puffer tummy. are you sure yours doesnt have any ips? ive also noticed that she wont sleep unless all the lights are off and im sleeping, too. i think she has to make sure that im not going to feed her or something lol.

The GSP by nature will be much larger than your F8.

A GSP will get to be about the size of your fist when fully grown. The F8 is much smaller.

could be sleeping when im sleeping. my gsp will sleep if the lights are on or off. just hides in corners or in his favorite skull away from everything.

You might have MTS kicking about in your substrate that the GSP is eating but the F8 isn't. This is what I suspect is happening in my tank with my 2 F8's; the dominant F8 generally has a flatish belly whereby the less dominant one is conitnuously overweight.
