Anyone have any Ideas whats on this piece of live rock ? I read somewhere it could be a sponge . Its In Peteys tank so I wanna be sure its not harmful!

Have u got a better pic looks like individual mushrooms can see mouth in centre and frilled edge on one

Hmmm... then they're terribly bleached. I think I do see a mouth on one of them.

I had the same ones good sign them splitting i i must have good eyes can see mouths and frills on the left one if i zoom

Have u never seen these mushrooms before see them all the time at my local reef shop when i started my tank i filled it with mushrooms of all colours shapes these are normal almost transparent not in any way bleached

I had simular on my lR the lfs guy tolled they were sponges. Same description as you they look like little.mushrooms grouped together and there seems to be an opening for a mouth.

My lr was kept under a light in store all be it not very powerful one. One of these "sponges" is vivid yellow but the rest are all milky white and spreadin like mad

The yellow one is probably a sponge the rest sound like mushroom anemone

The.milky ones have a thin transluscent skin on them. Very odd but very cool

Great starter coral really easy don't need special lighting and spread like mad
