well i thought i would post some pics of some of my stock, sadly a bit of this is gone as my main tank crashed last year when i had to spend some time in hospital and couldnt maintain it afterwards. soon i will be doing a sun coral dedicated tank but till then here are a few of my old friends, all where growing and thriving. sorry for the pictures but a lot where taken in dark tanks.

I love your little blue crab. One day I'd like to have a little nano with a few easy corals and some hermies. If there was a freshwater version of aquatic hermit crabs, I'd have them.
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

I will be starting a new nano in a few weeks, won't be easy corals but I will log the set up anyway to give you a picture of how it's done
I love nanos.
Btw all hermits will kill for shells, the secret is supplying lots of emptys to play with. On another forum our community is lucky enough to have a crazy crab lady who has taught us loads about hermits.
Some of hers are mean.

Are they not sociable like land hermit crabs? I mean, land crabs will kill for shells in a pinch, too, but they don't thrive alone.
I was thinking it would be nice to have a little 5-10g with just a powerhead or filter - I wouldn't mind big water changes in such a small tank. I have a bowfront 5g that would be cute.

Forget filters, live rock is your filter. Power head is essential, 5g wouldn't require skimming but would need a good weekly WC.
Look up zoathids, they make a wonderful easy reef.
Thanks Amy, did you notice that I like gorgonians by any chance.
Yeah, I thought a powerhead alone would be sufficient, but I wasn't sure.
I'm pretty familiar with zoas and some of the other softies - not from actually having them, just by sight, I mean. I've seen some really pretty ones on LiveAquaria.
I think after I move in May/June and have a job, I should go for this.
