Of course! I plan on cycling it for quite a while before any puffers are added. How long would yall suggest? Should I put in some snails in t
he meantime for the puffers later on?

Setup a separate tank for snails and start breeding them, now cause you will need a constant supply. Check craigslist for a 5-10 gallon tank for them. You can buy snails on aquabid. Ramshorn and pond are the best for puffers.
