calcium build on on hood?

calcium build on on hood?
have a bubble wand that makes some sweet bubbles but i think its making my hood a mess. The top of the hood where my light is becomes all white every 3-4 days. I have to use a razor blade to clean it up. Is this because the bubbles up and get on the top of the hood and the light makes it bake on? im getting a roid unit next week i hope. so i hope this will help stop the issue.

Is this BW? Wipe with a rag soaked in vinegar. Do not get it into the tank.

It is most definitely from your bubble wand. By "roid" I am guessing you meant to put that you are hopefully getting an ro-di unit. This might help if you only had a freshwater tank but I assume you are have brackish water for your GSPs. Something you will find out is that saltwater and bubble wands don't mix for the exact reason your are experiencing. I would ditch the bubble wand. If you are worried about flow in your tank I would go with a powerhead or two.

not yet bw. this next weekend i plan to go brackish. had to work this weekend and just didnt have the time for it. I have next week off so ill start mixing the salt with a powerhead friday when i get home from work. Then should be ready by sunday morning for my weekly WC. i think im going to lose the bubble wand, i like it but its a mess.
