hey everyone. alot of people have been telling me about getting dry rock instead of live rock and that it would eventually turn live. but how long does that take? and how does that happen?

The nitrification bacteria & little creatures from the live rock you add to the dry rock will eventually move over to the dry rock. It can take months for it to be fully seeded.

yes. its to take off the dead matter. i have my 4.4 lbs live rock curing in 1.023 s.g at 79-80 degrees and i have an air stone in the bucket to add oxygen. and im keeping it covered so no algae grows.
