okay so im going to put sand in my puffer fish tank but i haven't got him yet but i do have every thing ready im just cycling the tank right now and i have blue gravel ans i really don't like it so i was reading and aragonite sand is the best. but he will be in fresh water because from where im getting him they have there puffer fish in freshwater. so i have 2 brands and i dont know which one is "better"

i am going to get live rock but after it gets brackish

A lot of people here recommend setting up as s/w and drip acclimating them slowly. It will save you hassle in the long run

Some use pool filter sand. I believe some use play sand. I think anything but sharp builders sand is fine as long as you thoroughly wash it. So called live sand will pollute your tank

They are GSPs right? It's best to get aragonite sand. The other sands mentioned are only suitable for FW.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

Correct, don't get the live sand. Aragonite comes as sand, gravel, and in between. There are wet and dry versions, stick with a dry aragonite.

Aragonite sand is best for BW. SW is fine with pool sand.
